Zagreb: a tiny oasis of leisure

Zagreb has been an amazing city for us to begin our trip in. The city is beautiful, the weather has been perfect, and perhaps most importantly, the entire city is empty.

Red roofs of Zagreb and the cathedral

Ban Jelacic Square in Zagreb's city center is named for the national hero who was responsible for bringing Croatia independence from the Austrian Empire.

Strukli: a traditional Croatian dish baked from dough filled with a LOT of cottage cheese.
The Croatians really love their cottage cheese.

The iconic Croatian cathedral. Notice anything wrong with that steeple on the right? Neither do I.

There was a street art festival going on in Zagreb when we visited.
Not the most impressive street art I've seen, but definitely some of the weirdest.

Here we go!

We're currently sitting in Heathrow Airport in London waiting for our flight to Zagreb. Here's a map detailing the cities we'll be stopping in over the course of the next 6 weeks. Can't wait!!!
